Princess Beatrice: Royal wedding could be about to end

Princess Beatrice (31), the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II (93), could possibly have to cancel her upcoming wedding with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (37) because of the Corona crisis. A spokesman for Buckingham Palace has now said that she is "reviewing" the wedding plans, according to reports from the British "BBC". A planned reception had already been canceled and the royals were considering government recommendations for a possibly smaller celebration.

No "unnecessary risks"

The couple wants to avoid "unnecessary risks", it continues. The recommendations – among other things for meetings of many people – consider Princess Beatrice and Mozzi primarily for the benefit of older family members.

It is currently unknown whether the Queen and Prince Philip (98) should attend the ceremony. In addition, given the current situation, it would probably be difficult to fly in relatives or friends from Mozzi, whose family originally came from the region around the Italian city of Bergamo. First of all, a big celebration was actually planned on May 29, 2020.
