Numerous royals, including Princess Beatrice, pay tribute to Prince Philip for the last time on March 29, 2022. During the memorial service, Beatrice cannot hold back her tears.
It’s a day full of emotions: The British royal family meets numerous European royals in Westminster Abbey to honor Prince Philip, † 99. After his death in April last year, the funeral service had to be small due to corona restrictions. But now Queen Elizabeth, 95, was able to say goodbye to her husband with her loved ones. Princess Beatrice, 33, also attends the service and is visibly moved during the ceremony.
Princess Beatrice: She is in tears
Princess Beatrice arrives at a church in London with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, and her sister Princess Eugenie, 32, and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 35. The daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, both 62, smile upon their arrival. But the pain of losing Prince Philip runs deep.
During the memorial service, several prayers will be said and songs sung. During a prayer, Princess Beatrice can be seen reaching into her purse to get a handkerchief. Mourning the loss of her grandfather, she holds her hand in front of her face as she struggles with her emotions. Eventually she hides her face behind the program as she bursts into tears. A memorable farewell to the man who has been at Queen Elizabeth’s side for over 70 years.
