Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands has Corona. A test based on mild cold symptoms in the queen mother brought clarity.

Great concern for Princess Beatrix (83). The mother of the Dutch King Willem-Alexander (54) was infected with the corona virus. This was announced by the royal family in The Hague on Saturday evening. She initially had herself tested for mild cold symptoms. She then immediately went to quarantine at home and will from now on adhere to all the rules for people who have tested positive.

All people who had been in close contact with her in the past few days had already been informed. According to Dutch press reports, the Queen said only a few days ago that she had already received three vaccinations and was therefore already boosted.

Stay abroad on Curaçao

On Monday, Beatrix returned from a working visit to the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao. She traveled back home on a conventional scheduled flight operated by the state airline KLM. However, it is not yet known exactly where it was infected.
