Princess Charlene and the whole of Monaco are already looking forward to the Grand Prix next weekend. The Formula 1 race is one of the most prestigious events of the year in the principality. But in 2024 there could be a serious change.
Preparations have been in full swing for weeks, and now the time has finally come: the Monaco Grand Prix will take place on the weekend of 25 and 26 May 2024. A traditional Formula 1 race in the city state on the Côte d’Azur, which the royal family will not miss. In addition to Prince Albert, 67, his wife Princess Charlène, 47, their twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, both 9, and many other members of the Grimaldi clan are among the regulars at the race. And this year, a new face could take a seat next to the prince.

So far, Prince Albert has refrained from making official appearances with his illegitimate son Alexandre Grimaldi, 20, but private recordings of his ex-lover Nicole Coste, 52, have been repeatedly published on social media in recent years. The former stewardess often visits Monaco and also appeared with her sons at the Monaco Grand Prix last year – although (still) at a clear distance from the royal family.
That could change in 2024. Alexandre Grimaldi has been sharing a striking number of photos from the principality in the days leading up to the Grand Prix and was even seen at an “APM Monaco” event in Cannes on Wednesday evening, May 22, accompanied by Marie, 31, and Louis Ducruet, 31. The daughter-in-law of Princess Stéphanie, 59, proudly shares a souvenir photo in her Instagram story.

The good relationship with the royal family is underlined, and so Alexandre Grimaldi also publishes a snapshot from the iconic “Hotel de Paris” in Monte Carlo, on which a visitor sign for a pop-up exhibition on the occasion of the Grand Prix can be seen. Nicole Coste makes no secret of her dislike for Princess Charlène

Is it now time for Princess Charlène to swallow the anger of the past and show greatness?
