That went quickly: after six weeks, Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank are said to have moved out of Frogmore Cottage.

Princess Eugenie (30) and husband Jack Brooksbank (34), who are expecting their first child in early 2021, moved into Frogmore Cottage in the park at Windsor Castle around six weeks ago. Now the couple is said to have moved out of the old home of Eugenie's cousin Prince Harry (36) and wife Meghan (39). "The house is empty again. Why doesn't anyone want to live in Frogmore Cottage? What's wrong with the house?" Said a source for British tabloid The Sun. Princess Eugenie and her husband, with whom she has been married since 2018, are said to be living in Kensington Palace again.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan originally made their former home available for the couple so that they can enjoy their family happiness there. A royal spokesman confirmed the move in November but made it clear that the historic property would remain the official British residence of Harry and Meghan.

Eugenie and Jack previously lived in Kensington Palace's Ivy Cottage. After extensive renovation work, which actually wasn't finally completed until September 2020, Harry and Meghan first moved into Frogmore Cottage in April 2019 – shortly before the birth of Baby Archie (1). In January 2020, they announced that they would step down from their duties as high-ranking members of the British royal family. They now live in Santa Barbara, California.
