Princess Eugenie has just had her son August Brooksbank baptized. Allegedly the ceremony was overshadowed by a death.

Princess Eugenie’s (31) father-in-law, George Brooksbank, is said to have died a few days before his grandson August was baptized on Sunday. This is what “Mail Online” wants to know. A royal insider claims that the father of Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank (35) has not been doing well for “some time”.

Another anonymous source said it was “wonderful” that George Brooksbank was able to meet his grandson August. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child was born in February.

Queen was at the baptism

At the baptism at the weekend, Queen Elizabeth II (95) was present again according to media reports. The 95-year-old had previously had to cancel some appointments on the advice of her doctors. Another great-grandchild of the monarch was baptized with the nine-month-old August, Lucas Tindall (eight months), the youngest offspring of Zara Tindall (40) and her husband Mike (43). The ceremony took place in the All Saints Chapel in the Windsor Castle grounds.

Duchess Kate (39) and Prince William (39) as well as Eugenie’s parents, Sarah Ferguson (62) and Prince Andrew (61) are said to have also attended the family celebration. Because of his alleged involvement in the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein scandal, Prince Andrew resigned from his public office in late 2019.
