The royal family has a new member. And also from Harry and Meghan congratulations on the baby to Eugenie should have already been received.

Princess Eugenie (30) became a mother for the first time on February 9th. According to British media reports, her alleged favorite cousin, Prince Harry (36), together with his wife Duchess Meghan (39), have already congratulated them. However, apart from the public, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to the USA with their son Archie (1) in the spring, are currently not represented on social media.

Like Archie, the son of Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, was born at Portland Hospital in London, a private clinic in Westminster. Eugenie, daughter of Prince Andrew (60) and Sarah Ferguson (61), was also born there in 1990. Queen Elizabeth II (94), who can look forward to her ninth great-grandson with the newborn, and Prince Philip (99) as well as Andrew and Fergie are "pleased with the news", according to a statement from the palace.

Eleventh place in the line of succession

Prince Charles (72) and his wife Duchess Camilla (73) congratulated the new parents on Instagram: "Congratulations to Your Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on the birth of their son." While Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (39) apparently also kept their congratulations privately, Kate's brother James Middleton (33) also reported via Instagram. In a comment on Eugenie's post that featured the baby's hand, he wrote with a heart emoji: "Congratulations, such wonderful news."

The baby, who weighed around 3 pounds at birth and whose name has not yet been released, is the first grandchild of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice (32), has also become an aunt for the first time. In the British line of succession, the newborn is eleven. Emily Nash, royal expert for "Hello!" Magazine, assumes that Eugenie's son will not receive a royal title.
