We really don’t get to see such a shot of Princess Eugenie or the other British royals every day. A photo shows Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter relaxing on the sofa in her own four walls – there is big news behind it.

A huge bookshelf, some framed pictures and a cream-colored sofa on which two friends have made themselves comfortable: Actually, the photo in question is nothing special at first glance. However, the emphasis here is on the word “actually”. Because in the said picture, none other than Princess Eugenie, 31, made herself comfortable with her friend Julia de Boinville. The Royal is suddenly giving a glimpse into her privacy – and for a good reason.

Princess Eugenie starts a podcast

The snap announces the latest project from Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, 95. Eugenie has teamed up with her long-time friend to create a new podcast to serve as a companion to the charity The Anti-Slavery Collective. An organization that Eugenie and Julia co-founded that works to end human trafficking. “Recordings began in 2021 at Eugenie’s house and will be released later this year,” reads the information so far.

The photo, which is available to a Royal fan account, shows the two women together when they start their new project. Eugenie and Julia seem to be in the middle of a conversation. Two professional microphones are set up in front of them. Both women are dressed casually. The 31-year-old royal wears a black dress with a floral pattern and casual sneakers. But the real focus is on the space that the world sees for the first time.

Princess Eugenie: These details of her living room catch the eye

And this room has a lot to offer: First, there is the table lamp, which is located next to the cream-colored couch. The red piece of furniture is decorated with elephants and harmonises perfectly with the oriental Persian carpet that is spread out in front of the sofa.

The bookcase behind it forms the jewel of the room and takes up the entire wall. Apparently, Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, have a soft spot for heavy coffee table books. A large number of thick tomes can be identified in the background, including one about Leonardo DaVinci. Nothing unusual for the Royal: After all, before the birth of her son August, Eugenie worked full-time as a director at Hauser & Wirth, an art gallery in Mayfair, London.

No picture of their wedding, but of Sister Beatrice

Probably the most striking detail of the comfortably furnished room: Princess Eugenie has not placed any of her wedding photos in a frame, but has a picture of her sister Princess Beatrice, 33, in the arms of her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, shows. It’s the photo Beatrice used to announce her engagement to the real estate mogul. It was recorded by Eugenie herself at the time.
