Princess Eugenie: So she thinks about her scar on the back

Princess Eugenie has a long scar on her back – she now shared a picture of it on Instagram to encourage others.

Princess Eugenie (30) posted a picture of her back on Instagram. There is a scar on it that runs down from the back of her neck. The granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II (94) wrote: "Today is International Scoliosis Education Day. I just wanted to share my scar and encourage everyone out there who has had something similar to share with me. Let us be proud be on our scars! "

Eugenie already spoke about her scoliosis diagnosis, which she received as a child, in 2018 and shared a photo of her X-rays. On it you can see metal rods that were used because of the spine disease (lateral bending of the spine). She is said to have had an operation on her back for eight hours.

The wedding dress left the upper back free

Her scar was also visible when the daughter of Prince Andrew (60) and Sarah Ferguson (60) married Jack Brooksbank (34) in October 2018. Her wedding dress had a deep V-neck on the back. "I think scars tell a story of your past and your future, and it's one way to get rid of a taboo," Princess Eugenie later said in a "People" interview. "For me, it's a way to communicate with people who are going through similar situations with scoliosis or have their own scar that they're trying to deal with."
