Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have become the parents of their first child. Mother and son are doing very well, according to Buckingham Palace.

A new royal is in the world: As Buckingham Palace announced on Twitter, Princess Eugenie (30) became the mother of a healthy boy. The now ninth great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. (94) saw the light of day on February 9th in the Portland Hospital and weighed around 3.6 kilos.

Another statement from the royal family also states that husband Jack Brooksbank (35) was present during the birth. On her official Instagram account, Princess Eugenie even grants a glimpse of her son. She published a black and white photo of the proud parents holding their child's tiny hand in theirs. The couple has not yet announced the name of the little one.

Eugenie is the younger daughter of Prince Andrew (60) and Sarah Ferguson (61). For her it is the first grandchild.
