On July 6, 2022, the Jordanian court announced the engagement of Princess Iman bint Abdullah and Jameel Alexander Thermiotis. Today, March 12, 2023, the big wedding will take place. Here’s what you need to know about her future husband.

She lovingly puts her hand on his chest, a beautiful diamond ring sparkles on her ring finger. They smile lovingly at the camera, happiness is written all over their faces: they are engaged! “The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II to Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis and sends its sincere congratulations on this occasion,” said an official court statement issued almost exactly at eight months.

But who is the young man who was able to win the heart of the eldest daughter of King Abdullah II, 61, and Queen Rania, 52, and will marry her this Sunday, March 12?

Princess Iman: That’s how her fiancé ticks

Jameel Alexander Thermiotis was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1994. He now lives in New York, according to the Spanish magazine “Vanitatis”. He is said to come from a wealthy Venezuelan family, his parents are Alejandro Thermiotis and Corina Hernández. Thermiotis has two siblings, Alexia and Alejandro. His grandfather, Jimmy Thermiotis, reportedly ran the Dior store in Venezuela, and Jameel is said to be named after him.

It is said that Iman’s future husband graduated from Florida International University with a degree in business administration and has been in finance since graduating, currently as a managing partner of a venture capital firm in New York City. Princess Iman also studied in the United States and is said to have recently graduated from Georgetown University. During her studies she is said to have also learned Spanish – Jameel’s mother tongue.

In the Big Apple, Iman and Jameel are said to have met and fallen in love around three years ago, as “Vanitatis” claims to have learned. Until their engagement, however, they maintained a very discreet relationship away from the limelight.

The official engagement ceremony was attended by the happy couple, King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein, Queen Rania, Iman’s three siblings Hussein, 28, Salma, 22, and Hashem, 18, and the fiancé’s family. Princess Iman is the first of the royal couple’s four children to marry.
