It’s a big step for Princess Ingrid Alexandra: The heir to the throne is said to have left her parents’ home and moved into her own apartment in a trendy area of Oslo.
Princess Mette-Marit and Prince Haakon, both 50, have to be very strong now: Their daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 19, has left Gut Skaugum in the municipality of Asker, southwest of Oslo, as the Norwegian Illu “Se og Hør” claims to have learned. The princess is said to have swapped the cozy family home in the middle of meadows and forests for a nightlife area in the lively heart of Oslo, the publication further reports.

The heir to the throne is said to have settled in the Grünerløkka district, one of the most fashionable districts in Oslo, known for street art, chic bars, hip dance clubs, second-hand shops, weekend markets and cozy cafés. Although the court has not yet commented on the question of “Se og Hør” regarding Ingrid Alexandra’s alleged move, Ulf André Andersen, editor-in-chief of Illu, is already considering what could have motivated the princess to move to Grünerløkka. After all, the district is several kilometers away from her new place of work, the Uranienborg School. The 19-year-old has been working there as a school assistant since the fall.
