Princess Josephine seems to want to pursue her own career path. The daughter of King Frederik and Queen Mary has a penchant for acting. She regularly appears on stage – and under a surprising name.
As the daughter of Denmark’s royal couple, Princess Josephine, 13, has been in the public eye her entire life. And it seems as if she also seeks the limelight in other ways. The youngest offspring of Queen Mary, 52, and King Frederik, 55, and twin sister of Prince Vincent has a great passion for acting and is already regularly on stage. Her stage name, however, is not “Princess Josephine”.
Princess Josephine plays at the “Eventyrteatret”
In October last year, the young princess made her acting debut in the “Eventyrteatret” production of “Peter Pan” on the big stage in Copenhagen’s famous Tivoli amusement park.
She will soon be conquering the world stage again and will be taking on the lead role in the production of “Pinocchio” in the autumn. As “Billed Bladet” reports, the 13-year-old is on the cast list with the name “Josephine Ivalo”. The performance will be shown in the Glass Hall in the Tivoli from October 4th to 20th. Her royal parents must be very proud.
King Frederik’s daughter had to pass an entrance exam
To get a role in a production of “Eventyrteatret”, the fairy tale theater, you have to pass an entrance exam, Susanne Vognstrup, head of the troupe, explained to the Danish publication last year. Of the school’s 300 students, 100 took part in “Peter Pan” last year. Princess Josephine was able to qualify for one of these roles.

In addition to acting skills, there are other high requirements. For example, you have to be a “good team player”, “behave properly, talk nicely to each other, be diligent and practice,” explained Vognstrup, adding: “Princess Josephine meets these requirements just like all other children.” Perhaps the little princess will have a great career as an actress ahead of her.
