From simple to eye-catching, from affordable to exclusive: Princess Kate’s range of earrings was once again broad in 2023.
Princess Kate (41) is considered one of the best-dressed royals. Her accessories also contribute to this. During 2023, she presented 43 pairs of earrings worth more than 72,500 euros during her appearances, like which the Daily Mail listed. The wife of heir to the throne Prince William (41)’s selection ranged from Accessorize pearl earrings, which cost nine euros, to the extravagant Asprey London Daisy Heritage earrings, which cost the equivalent of 26,700 euros. Kate likes to wear jewelry more often
This wide range reflects her preference for wearing both affordable and high-quality brands. She also likes to recycle her favorite items. Kate is a loyal follower of the British jeweler Kiki McDonough, based in Sloane Square in London. Last year she presented six pairs of the brand’s earrings, including the Lola topaz hoop earrings (4,000 euros), the Lauren pavé diamond heart earrings (2,700 euros) and the cushion-shaped citrine earrings (1,900 euros). , which she first wore at the Cheltenham Festival in 2013. It has three other variations in white topaz, pink morganite and green amethyst.
The princess also wore three pairs of earrings from Shyla London, a contemporary label that uses natural gemstones and fair or recycled metals at affordable prices. When Kate launched her “Shaping Us” campaign in January, she paired a Victoria Beckham dress with Biaritz Squiggle earrings (84 euros), which are handmade from layers of gold-plated silver. She wore pearl earrings with a chunky knot (84 euros) five times, including at the reception of the Shaping Us National Symposium.
The French label Sézane is also one of Kate’s favorites. She introduced three pairs of earrings and two bracelets from the brand in 2023. Especially when it comes to statement earrings, Kate likes to choose Sézane pieces.
The future queen loves heirlooms and low-budget equally
While the Princess showcased plenty of high-quality jewelry – including many of the royal family’s precious heirlooms – she also supported several affordable brands last year, including Accessorize, J.Crew, Orelia and Zara. The 41-year-old notably recycled her nine euro Accessorize pearl and disk earrings for an engagement at Landau Forte College in Derby. During a trip to the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales in April, she reached for the affordable earrings again. Kate also chose pieces from a fashion chain for the BAFTAs: gold, cascading flower earrings from Zara.
