Princess Kate swaps blazer for camouflage uniform
Kate met in the barracks According to “The Mirror”. Soldiers of the over 300-year-old regiment awarded several medals and also promoted Welsh pony Trooper Longface Emrys Jones, the regiment’s mascot, from Lance Corporal to Corporal. Kate was initially dressed in an elegant black blazer and turtleneck sweater, but later she changed into a real camouflage uniform.
Kate had members of the regiment show her combat equipment and tactics. The 41-year-old then took a seat in a combat vehicle and was chauffeured around the training area. She then piloted a drone herself – and clearly enjoyed the varied tasks. As the new lieutenant colonel, Princess Kate received three cheers from the soldiers of the Dragoon Guard before she climbed into a waiting helicopter and took off.
