Princess Kate writes about why early childhood education is so important to her. Early childhood affects “our entire life”.

Princess Kate (40) wants to change the world – starting with the little ones. In a guest article in the British “The Telegraph” The wife of Prince William (40), who herself has a daughter Charlotte (7) and sons George (9) and Louis (4), explains why she considers early childhood education so important.

In the past ten years she has spoken to many experts about social problems such as mental and physical health. Therefore, Kate is now certain: “If we want to create a healthier and happier society for future generations, we must start by understanding and acknowledging the unique importance of the first five years of life.”

Princess Kate: Early Childhood Affects ‘Our Entire Life’

Early childhood affects “essentially our entire life”. Therefore, the foundation for thriving as an individual, in the community and in society as a whole can also be laid here.

The experiences, relationships, and interactions at this young age “shape everything from our ability to form relationships and thrive at work to our mental and physical health as adults.” There are “fantastic examples” of what can be achieved when this potential is realized and a child grows up in a safe and loving world.

Now, thanks to the work of many researchers, we have the opportunity to positively influence the health of future generations. Princess Kate is therefore determined to do everything in her power to ensure that much more attention is paid to children’s first five years in the future.

It was recently reported that Kate, who is due to travel to the US with William next week, plans to visit the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. The Early Childhood Research Center works in partnership with the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, which Kate set up in the summer of 2021.
