The daughter of the Emir of Dubai, Princess Latifa, recently gave her news. She now lives in Paris and wants her privacy to be respected.

In February 2021, Princess Latifa bint Mohammed ben Rashid al-Maktoum, daughter of the Emir of Dubai, released several videos in which she claimed to have been held captive since 2018. One year to the day after his revelations, the 36 year old gives much happier news : the princess has rebuilt her life, she recently installed in Paris and asks that his privacy be respected from now on, indicates an article published on the site Royal stories.
This week, Princess Latifa met in Paris with Michelle Bachelet, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in order to “enforcing his right to privacy, following persistent media speculation about him”, said the princess’s lawyer in a press release. We also learn that the young lady “lives as she wishesthat she travels as she wishes, that she is perfectly fine and that she would like the media to allow her to live in peace”the statement added.
An ordeal that lasted from 2018 to 2021
Last May, Princess Latifa was also spotted at a mall cafe in the United Arab Emirates with friends. The young woman thus wants definitely forget her past and the ordeal she lived from 2018 to 2021. While trying to flee her country, she was captured off the Indian coast by an armed commando sent by her father. The princess had not given any sign of life for almost three years. As a reminder, the Emir of Dubai was found guilty by the British courts of having deprived several of his daughters of liberty.
