Princess Mette-Marit: Bad news! She has Corona for the second time

Princess Mette-Marit, 50, has not had an easy few months in terms of her health. After celebrating her big birthday in the summer, Prince Haakon’s wife, 50, was on sick leave for several weeks in September. Now the Crown Princess has to spend the last days of the year getting healthy: As the palace announced on December 20th, Mette-Marit was infected with the coronavirus for the second time. As the portal “Dana Press” reports, citing media such as “NRK” and “NTB”, the communications director of the Norwegian royal family confirmed the princess’s infection.

Mette-Marit was actually supposed to take part in a pre-Christmas church service alongside her family today. Instead, Prince Haakon, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 19, and Prince Sverre Magnus, 18, had to celebrate the service without their wife and mother. This is the second corona infection for Princess Mette-Marit; she was already ill with the virus in August 2022. The 50-year-old also suffers from a chronic condition Pulmonary fibrosis. Catherine, Princess of Wales shares important Christmas message

On December 8, 2023, the annual Christmas concert “Together at Christmas” took place in London’s Westminster Abbey, which was launched by Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41. This year the service celebrates those who work to care for young children and families in communities across the UK. Kate was joined at the Christmas service by husband Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The 1,500 special guests included midwives, kindergarten teachers and volunteers.
