Princess Mette-Marit and Prince Haakon: Your foundation is making a big loss on the stock exchange

Showing young people their place in society, projects for the unemployed or young people with addiction problems – with the foundation that they founded after their marriage, Prince Haakon, 49, and Princess Mette-Marit, 49, help many. The financial resources for this are largely invested in funds. And it is precisely those who have suffered greatly in the last year.

As the online magazine “Nettavisen” reports, the foundation of the Norwegian crown prince couple made a loss of around 232,000 euros last year. While 2.3 million euros were still invested in 2022, only around 2.1 million euros are now invested. Nevertheless, as it is written in the online magazine, Mette-Marit and Haakon supported charitable projects in 2022 with around 127,541 euros. And want to continue doing so.

Many famous couples attended the French Open on June 9, 2023 to see Novak Djokovic, 36, and Casper Rudd, 24, qualify for the final, which took place two days later on June 11. Among them was a member of the Grimaldi family, who was accompanied by his better half – and apparently did not want to be recognized. With sunglasses, a cap and in elegant but unobtrusive outfits, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, 23, and Ben-Sylvester Strautmann, 24, made themselves comfortable in the stands and watched the semi-finals and the final in intimate togetherness.

Incidentally, the Monegasque was not the only noble spectator, Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, 67, was also a guest at the French Open on June 10th. In contrast to Princess Alexandra, the Grand Duchess, like many other prominent guests, had herself photographed in front of the official photo wall.

Is the dispute between Prince Andrew and King Charles escalating?

King Charles, 74, has been arguing with his brother Prince Andrew, 63, for weeks. The reason: the disgraced prince is supposed to vacate the Royal Lodge, his long-term home in Windsor – but he allegedly refuses. The property, which has 30 rooms, could be put to better use, the monarch is said to think. According to the “Daily Mail”, the dispute between the brothers is now threatening to escalate.

Because some necessary work will be carried out this summer, including roof repairs, which will be paid for by Andrew himself. Sources say it would make sense for Andrew to move into nearby Frogmore Cottage – Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41,’s former home, while the construction work is going on. But the 63-year-old is said to have rejected that as well because he fears he will be “permanently evicted” if he vacates the Royal Lodge, even temporarily, the source said. This would be possible because Charles is said to have already suggested to his little brother that he move into Frogmore Cottage. The regent should not like the fact that Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband, 63, is now apparently interfering again.
