Although Catherine, Princess of Wales, was spotted shopping in Windsor a few days ago, the headlines surrounding her never stop. On the contrary, more and more royal fans have since then come up with wild conspiracy theories online and even allege that Kate sent her double that Saturday.

The British royal family is in a serious crisis. Not only the fact that Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, has not been able to attend any official appointments since her abdominal operation and King Charles, 75, is currently in the middle of his cancer treatment, is presenting the Royal Family with a new (personnel) challenge; it is above all Kate’s edited Mother’s Day photo that is Royals are currently desperate.

Mother’s Day photo of Catherine, Princess of Wales causes crisis

The reason: After Kensington Palace published that radiant family photo on March 10, 2024, the photo was withdrawn after initial storms of cheers from the world’s leading photo agencies. The accusation of manipulation became loud, which Catherine, Princess of Wales, publicly admitted and apologized a short time later. “Like many amateur photographers, I occasionally experiment with photo editing. I would like to apologize for the confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday. I hope everyone celebrating had a happy Mother’s Day. C,” wrote the 42-year-old year old in an official statement. The palace still doesn’t want to release the original photo. “This is a terrible mishap that also calls into question the credibility of the palace and therefore the entire royal family!” says aristocratic expert Arndt Striegler, who reports from London as a GALA correspondent.

Royal fans doubt new recordings

In an effort to restore the Waleses’ credibility, British newspaper The Sun published footage on Monday, March 18, showing Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Prince William, 41, shopping at a farm shop in Windsor. The couple is said to have seemed “relaxed and happy,” according to the video clip, which went viral within a few minutes. But instead of being happy about the princess’s little sign of life, royal fans online have been analyzing the mother of three’s appearance for days and putting forward wild conspiracy theories. Some claim that those recordings are not about Kate at all, but rather one of her self-proclaimed doubles.

Kate doppelganger denies fake allegations

In particular, Heidi Agan, 43, who describes herself as “Britain’s most realistic Kate Middleton doppelganger,” is very popular. So much so that Agan is now speaking out herself. “There has of course been some speculation as to whether it was Kate and William in the footage and photos. In fact, my own social media has gone crazy because people think it’s me, but I know it’s not me. Me “I was at work at the time, so I know it’s not me. I 100 percent believe that’s Kate Middleton and William in this video,” Heidi says in an interview with “Mirror” and emphasizes:

So she is alive and we can be sure of it. This has all gone too far. It started as a joke asking ‘Where’s Kate?’ but now it’s turned into a real drama so it has to stop. […] Making fun of Kate is one thing, but we have to give her time now and I’m sure she’ll be back after Easter, just like she said in the beginning.

“She is a public person, but not public property”

Heidi Agan has been working as a professional Kate double for twelve years in addition to her work as a teacher in a dance and musical theater group. No wonder that speculation about Catherine’s health in recent weeks has left its mark on the 43-year-old. “If the operation is something she wanted to keep to herself, then it’s right that she [der Kensington Palast, Anm. d. Red.] no further details will be announced. She is a public figure, but not public property, and we must respect that,” Agan clarifies.

She continued: “Since Kate’s surgery, I’ve had gigs where I’ve walked in and people have said ‘there’s Kate’, so it started off as a joke ‘we found Kate’, but that should really stop now.”
