There have been many rumors surrounding Catherine, Princess of Wales and Rose Hanbury’s relationship in recent years. Now it is certain: the son of her “rival” will appear alongside Prince George as a page of honor at the coronation of King Charles. What does Kate think of that?

When it was announced on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, who would be the page of honor at the coronation of King Charles, 74, on May 6, 2023, royal observers must have been amazed. As well as being delighted that Prince George, 9, will be there, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley will also help carry Charles’ robe into Westminster Abbey. This said lord is none other than the son of Rose Hanbury – the very Rose Hanbury with whom Prince William, 40, was said to be having an affair a few years ago. Kate is said to have once fallen out with the Marquise. How would Catherine, Princess of Wales react to Oliver’s appointment as page?

An affront to Catherine, Princess of Wales?

It was March 2019 when rumors circulated that Kate and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, known to everyone as Rose Hanbury, had fallen out. The two women had fallen out, British media reported. About what exactly? Not clear. The fact is, the two couldn’t be more different, they are said to have even competed with each other – also in the fight for Prince William.

Rose and William had had an affair, some media reports said. What is really behind the rumours, however, is just as unclear as what really happened between the Princess of Wales and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley. There are conflicting media reports about the potential feud between the women. Richard Kay, who has been writing for the “Daily Mail” for over 25 years and is considered to be well informed about the British Royal Family, is certain that “the rumors about a rift between these two attractive young women are false”.

Nevertheless, royal observers are likely to turn up their noses at the fact that the son of that Rose Hanbury will enter Westminster Abbey as a page of honor alongside Prince George.

Rose Hanbury stirs the tempers of Royal fans

Rose Hanbury has always been a thorn in the side of Royal fans. With her appearance at the funeral service for Queen Elizabeth, † 96, in September 2022, she caused astonishment, especially on the internet.

One user tweeted that she was out of place there because of the “unchristian rumors” about her person. How is the appointment of her son as a page judged on social networks? “Let the royal games begin,” jokes one about it. And that shouldn’t have been the last comment.
