Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip apparently took a trip to the south of France during the Easter holidays. This trip has so far remained under the radar, but an influencer now reveals that she was on the same plane as the royals.
Princess Sofia, 39, and Prince Carl Philip, 44, visited Brussels from April 10th to 11th, 2024. There they took part in “meetings with representatives of the European Parliament and the EU Commission, where, among other things, they learned about the work on the regulation on digital services,” the palace said. Before the trip to Belgium, however, the royal couple enjoyed a few beautiful days in the south of France, as has now come to light.

Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip were spotted on Elsa Ekman’s plane with their children Prince Julian, 3, Prince Gabriel, 6, and Prince Alexander, 7. According to “Svensk Damtidning”, the influencer reports this in her podcast “Det skaver – Livet efter 30” (German: “It hurts – life after 30”). In the last episode she talks about her flight from Stockholm to Nice, where she was suddenly approached by the man next to her. “It was my seatmate who said, ‘Did you see there are VIPs on board?’ “Sofia and Carl Philip and their whole family were actually sitting just two rows in front of me,” recalls the Swedish podcaster.

The royals were particularly noticed because of their down-to-earth behavior. They were reserved on the plane and at the airport in Nice. “They traveled with us normal people, and later they stood there and waited for their luggage like everyone else,” enthuses Elsa Ekman. As a result, Carl Philip and Sofia enjoyed a sunny break on the Côte d’Azur between Easter and their most recent date in Belgium.
Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were also caught
Princess Victoria, 46, and Prince Daniel, 50, were previously caught vacationing in Mallorca. At the beginning of April, a reporter from the Norwegian magazine “Se og Hør” revealed that he had seen the crown princess couple with their children Princess Estelle, 12, and Prince Oscar, 8, on the Balearic island. They appeared there, among other places, in the Mar de Nudos restaurant. “The Crown Princess came with her entire family, with two couples who were friends and three bodyguards who sat discreetly at the next table,” said the journalist.
Shortly afterwards, King Carl Gustafs, 77, confirmed that his sister Princess Birgitta, 88, who has been living in Mallorca for 20 years, had met her niece on site. She also played golf with Daniel.
