After Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel unintentionally dominated the negative headlines in the past few weeks, the Swedish palace is finally pleased with good news again: There are several reasons to celebrate.

Little has been made of Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria, 44,’s name day for the past two years. While it was only celebrated behind the palace walls in March 2020 due to the corona crisis, the celebrations in 2021 had to be canceled entirely. Not even photographers were allowed to accompany the “very small ceremony”.

Now there is reason to be happy: As the Swedish court announced at the end of February, on the morning of March 12, 2022, the gates to the inner courtyard of the palace in Stockholm will finally open again. In honor of the Crown Princess, the music corps will play a concert.

And that’s not all of the celebration! The Victoria Days around her birthday on July 14 should also be celebrated again, as the organizer has now announced. The celebrations for Princess Victoria, who turns 45 this year, will begin on July 9 with the second edition of the Synsam Padel Cup youth tournament, according to the official Victoria Days website. On July 12th and 13th, the tournaments “Victoria Padeln” and “Victoria Golfen” will follow, together with the associated festivities.

These naturally culminate on the actual birthday of the still 44-year-old. “On July 14, Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday, it’s time for the Victoria Concert, which will again take place in the beautiful courtyard of Borgholm Castle,” reads the official press release. “We are planning a concert with an audience consisting of the Royal Family, the Victoria Prize winner, partners and special guests.” The evening will continue with a banquet and an afterparty. The Victoria Days end on July 15 with the popular “Victorialoppet” race.

In addition, the “Solliden Sessions” will take place again. According to the website of Solliden Castle, 14 artists will perform here, just a few meters from the summer residence of the Swedish royal family. The number of spectators was increased from 500 to 800 people. Among them will certainly be members of the royal family, who were already in a good mood and clapping on the reserved seats at the concert series last year.

It is not yet known whether Princess Madeleine, 39, will visit her sister for this special occasion like last year.
