The Midsummer Festival is an absolute highlight in Sweden – also for the royal family. Every year, Princess Victoria, 46, Prince Daniel, 50, and co. celebrate the festivities with their loved ones. This year, the Swedish royals have come together again to celebrate the summer solstice. However, Victoria is said to have chosen a new location. According to “Svensk Damtidning”, the Crown Princess invited people to her new holiday home.

Princess Victoria: “H&M” mogul is her new neighbor

The home of Victoria, Daniel, Princess Estelle, 12, and Prince Oscar, 8, is impressive. According to Swedish media reports, the property is located in the Stockholm archipelago – the group of islands east of the capital. The Crown Princess couple opted for a house in the municipality of Värmdö on the island of Fågelbrolandet.

There is no coincidence behind this: According to “Svensk Damtidning”, it is a popular hotspot for high society. In addition to Victoria and Daniel, the Perssons are said to live there – one of the most famous families in the country. The entrepreneur Stefan Persson, 76, is a billionaire and is behind the fashion label “H&M”.

Princess Madeleine celebrates without Chris O’Neill

The royals had the old building, which is said to have been built in 1930, torn down. Work on the new building for the heir to the throne has been underway since 2022. Now Prince Daniel, his wife and children have taken the opportunity of the Midsummer Festival to show the whole family the new home. King Carl Gustaf, 78, and Queen Silvia, 80, as well as Princess Madeleine, 42, are said to have attended the housewarming party. Only Madeleine’s husband Chris O’Neill, 49, missed the family celebration.

There are now four building complexes on the site, which is to cover an incredible 16,000 square meters: a main residence and three outbuildings. A swimming pool is also to be part of the ensemble. The private property on the lake cannot be seen. A two-meter-high wall encloses the area and is intended to protect the royals from more than just prying eyes.

Princess Victoria’s new holiday villa offers numerous advantages

“Svensk Damtidning” claims to have learned that the Swedish heir to the throne wants to split her holidays in the future. The family will spend some weeks a year in Öland as usual, but will use other vacation days on Fågelbrolandet from now on. A wise decision; after all, the location of the new residence offers advantages.

On the one hand, it is the proximity to Stockholm that allows the Royal Family to go to their holiday home at short notice and, in an emergency, to travel back to the capital at any time. Victoria and Prince Daniel’s main residence, Haga Castle, is only a 32-minute drive away. The short distance enables weekend trips and short breaks in the winter.
