Printemps de Bourges: festival-goers victims of stings, four complaints filed

The Bourges public prosecutor’s office confirms the opening of an investigation after the filing of four complaints for stings during the Printemps de Bourges.

The complainants explain that they were stung during concerts during the festival. Far from being isolated cases in France, nearly 23 reports have been made to justice. The victims, both women and men, were mainly in nightclubs at the time.

Isère and Hérault concerned

Complaints have been filed in Isère, in Hérault but also in Nantes, with facts unfolding in February.

Some complainants explain that they suddenly felt unwell, sometimes with nausea, malaise or loss of balance. Most of the victims did not have more serious symptoms, except in Amiens last April. The person had to be hospitalized following a sting.

No trace of product

Through the various investigations carried out in France, several toxicological analyzes were carried out but did not make it possible to find traces of narcotics.

None of the victims reported sexual assault or rape alongside the “attacks”.
