What is the Prison for in V Rising?

In addition to spending a lot of time farming resources, one of the activities that might interest you in V Rising is none other than the construction of your castle. Whether it is to make a functional building or to create a mansion worthy of the most charismatic vampires in the world, you will inevitably spend some time thinking about the architecture and furnishing of your home. Among the rooms that you will have to go through quite quickly, there is of course the Prison, the central element of the game.

If you will not be able to build one right away in your game, we strongly advise you to make sure to advance quickly enough in the main quest to unlock this construction as quickly as possible. Indeed, the prison will allow you to lock up any opponent (apart from bosses) to keep them warm in your home and drink their blood at will. By doing so, you will not only be able to no longer run out of this precious liquid, but above all ensure that you have an excerpt of all blood types in the gameall in excellent quality.

To build a prison in your castle in V Rising, you will first need to advance in the game and in the main quest until you can eliminate the boss Vincent the Frostbringer at level 44. Once the latter is defeated, you can finally go through the construction menu to install Prison cells wherever you want in your home. Please note, we recommend that you place several in a dedicated room and cover the room with prison floor. By doing so, you will be able to lock down multiple types of enemies and abuse them more easily.

Once your Prison Cells are in place, all you have to do is go chase away any enemy and lure him inside using the same process as converting a Servant via a Servant Coffin. Once this is done, you will be able to interact with the Cell to abuse your prisoner and recover two different things: one Blood Potion or theblood essence. If the second is not really very useful (there are other much more effective ways to recover it), the first is really central to the game.

The whole point of the prison is to be able to lock up the adversaries with the best blood type and especially the better blood quality. As we explained to you in our dedicated guide, each enemy has a different “class” associated with a blood group. By drinking their blood, you absorb that blood type and adopt the same class as your victim. So you can use blood from Creatureof Thugof Bullyof WarriorofWorker and D’Scholar and thus benefit from several different passive bonuses as long as this blood flows in your veins.

Once you have built Prison cellswe therefore advise you to go hunting and bring back at least a different opponent corresponding to each blood group, all of the best possible quality. In doing so, you will be able to collect the blood you want before leaving to collect resources or face bosses depending on the passive effects you need.

Be careful though, you won’t be able to abuse your prisoners indefinitely if you don’t take minimal care of them. When interacting with a full cell, you will notice that your prisoner has a health bar and one percentage of poverty. By drawing blood, his life bar decreases and his misery percentage increases. The higher his misery, the more damage the blood draw causes him. Obviously, if your prisoner runs out of health, he will die and you will have to look for another one. Fortunately, it is possible to maintain these two gauges at optimal levels thanks to the different Pisces Game.

To optimize your prisons as much as possible, we advise you to always treat your prisoners in the following way:

  • Reduce his misery as much as possible
  • Feed him to increase his life points to the maximum
  • Take his blood into a Blood Potion
  • Start again

As you will have understood, to make good use of your prison, you will necessarily have to spend time to fish and to collect glass to craft empty glass bottles. This can all take a lot of work at first, but you’ll soon get used to it and establish a routine.
