Procter & Gamble more optimistic about its annual profit target


(AOF) – Although the consumer products group Procter & Gamble has raised its annual profit forecast, its revenues are disappointing. In the third quarter, ended at the end of March, net income increased 11% to $3.75 billion, or $1.52 per share. The latter exceeded the consensus amounting to 1.41 dollars. Sales rose 1% to $20.2 billion while Wall Street was targeting $20.41 billion. Organic growth reached 3%.

In terms of prospects, the group has raised its expectations for annual earnings per share excluding exceptional items and is now counting on an increase of between 10% and 11% compared to 8% to 9% previously announced. Internal revenue growth is anticipated between 4% and 5%.
