Beauty tips and trends are like sand by the sea – but not everyone works. When it comes to makeup, like everyone, they are very individual, but there are still a few secrets that we should all know. We asked Nicolas Degennes, Art Director at Givenchy Beauty, for his best tips. And we will never forget that again!
Complexion massage
We all know that: Foundation applied – and somehow it looks totally clogged. But it does not have to be when we use Nicolas Degennes' pro tip: "I always apply foundation or concealer by massaging it into the skin because it stimulates the skin and helps make the complexion glow."

Give the product a little time to bond with the skin and don't take too much. Otherwise it lies on the skin unsightly. Just wait five minutes after applying and then look at the result again in the mirror and massage again if necessary.
Lipstick: Give me 3
Anyone who has ever bought a lipstick online knows that this is not really easy. Choosing colors and formulations on the screen is almost impossible – unless you know exactly what you need. According to Nicolas, there are three lipsticks that every woman must have: a lipstick that reacts with the pH of the lips. "Once applied, it takes on a different shade for every woman," explains Degennes. So the color matches perfectly!
A lip balm that provides color and moisture should not be missing in any make-up collection. This is essential for well-groomed lips. Summer essential
In summer we all don't want to wear too much make-up, but for most people it doesn't work without everything. So we asked Nicolas Degennes about his personal Summer Essential and it is – a "healthy glow powder". Unlike a highlighter, such powders only give minimal light reflections on the skin, so that we simply look healthy and radiant. As if kissed by the sun. In theory, you can apply the powder all over your face – it works great with a Kabuki brush. If you have a very oily T-zone, you should skip it and use a light, matting powder instead.
