Project Birdseye: a spin-off of The Callisto Protocol revealed in video, it has nothing to do with it anymore

Founded by Glen Schofield, one of the fathers of Dead Space, Striking Distance Studios only released one game, The Calisto Protocol, a third-person space action horror game. A title with many qualities, but which failed to attract players, the title was a failure for its publisher Krafton and Glen Schofield has already taken off.

This week, Striking Distance Studios reveals Project Birdseye, a spin off of The Callisto Protocol which will take place in the prison of Black Iron, attacked by monsters. A title with a similar context, but gameplay totally different, it will be abouta top-down shooter roguelikewith an aesthetic of comic book. The horror is absent, it’s time for pure action, but Striking Distance Studios specifies that this is a passion project, designed in parallel with the next game AAA from the studio.
