Project Gravity: sad news for the spiritual successor of SSX

Franchise SSX will have delighted snow sports enthusiasts with its gameplay arcade and its original soundtracks Pop rockbut Electronic Arts seems to have put the license in the closet with no desire to bring it out again for the moment. This did not prevent Supernatural to develop a spiritual sequel, Project Gravity. A studio founded by Steve Rechtschaffner and Larry LaPierre, creators of SSX.

The snowboard game has long been discreet, but it is back in the news with some very bad news. In his long post evoking layoffs in the video game sector, highlighting for example the colossal budget ofImmortals of Aveum, IGN spoke with a former developer of Supernatural (no connection with the brothers Winchester). The latter explained that they were paying for a large premises in Vancouver, which was rarely used because 100% of the developers were teleworking. But above all, we learn that Project Gravity was to be published by 2K Gamesbut the latter canceled it.

Project Gravity was to be a free-to-play live service with a gameplay arcade and funin the pure lineage of SSX, but we must now put an end to it. Fans can console themselves with the reboot from 2012, available via EA Playhas €3.99 per month on Amazon.
