Project Vitriol: a dark and esoteric RPG teased on video

Developer of This War of Mine and frostpunkof which he is preparing a sequel, 11 bit studio has also recently become a publisher, with for example The Invincible. But the Polish studio unveils today Project Vitriol, an ambitious role-playing game developed by Fools Theory (Seven: Enhanced Edition).

This mysterious project is currently only entitled to a teaser. Project Vitriol is presented as a RPG dark and esoteric which benefits from a substantial budget: 17 million zlotys, or 3.6 million euros, which will allow developers to use the motion capture and completely double the game. Jakub Rokosz, CEO of Fools Theory and project director, adds:

Our game is a deep and morally ambiguous narrative RPG. But let me unveil a bit of the real essence: the game is about the esoteric side of reality, that dark side of the world that most of us don’t see and are unaware of. But darkness is there, lurking behind every corner. They watch us closely from the shadows and, whether we know it or not, wreak havoc, ensuring that we will have a debt to pay.

The story begins in a place and time where reality, folklore, energy and mysticism met in a melting pot: early 20th century Warsaw, under Russian Imperial Tsarism. The global reveal of Project Vitriol is coming this summer!

You will understand, this mysterious game will not be so much in the coming weeks, Fools Theory meet us this summer to learn more. For now, Project Vitriol has no real name, release date, or defined platforms. You can find frostpunk at €7.49 on GOG.com.
