Promotion to the final – Wrestling Bundesliga goes alongside Ragginger

The AC Wals wrestlers secured their place in the final of the wrestling Bundesliga. Markus Ragginger is already focusing on the Olympic ticket.

Close, but still, the AC Wals wrestlers secured a place in the finals of the Bundesliga on Saturday. It was an open exchange of blows against KSK Klaus, which the Walsers ultimately won 30:28. Christoph Burger suffered a cut on his eye in the 1:3 defeat after Markus Ragginger swept his opponent, who was 20 kilograms heavier, off the mat 11:0. “Fights at home are always nice. “So I’m happy that I was able to win,” summed up Ragginger, who also celebrated briefly with his teammates. But there is no danger of him becoming a party animal. The coming months are too important for him. Bundesliga serves as preparation. On the one hand, the Bundesliga final against Inzing takes place (December 2nd and 9th), and on the other hand, the 24-year-old is already looking at two qualifying tournaments in the spring for an Olympic ticket. “The preparation starts on a good day and with a bit of luck there will definitely be something in it for me,” says Ragginger confidently. “The Bundesliga fits in well with the preparation and goes along with it,” smiles the possible Olympic driver.
