ProSieben Maxx: In April 2022, the station will show more German premieres on Anime Night

• Every Friday evening, during Anime Night, ProSieben Maxx provides you with selected feature film and series highlights during prime time.
• In April 2022, new free TV premieres await you with “Space Pirate Captain Harlock” and a “Detective Conan” special.
• At the end of April you will see the classic “Lupin the 3rd – Das Schloss des Cagliostro” from 1979 for the first time on German free TV.

ProSieben Maxx will also show you in the Anime Night in April 2022 anime feature films full of action and adventure. Exciting highlights await you every Friday at prime time. There is something here for every anime fan.

While Space Pirate Captain Harlock is a newer anime film based on Leiji Matsumoto’s 1970s manga, Lupine the 3rd vs. Detective Conan is one very special crossover. As if “Detective Conan” had with me Master Thief Kaito Kid not enough to do already, joins the famous Lupine III. also to the latest case of the sniffing nose. The cult figure of the French writer Maurice Leblanc has not least inspired the Netflix series “Lupin”.

Already between 1967 and 1969 published Kazuhiko Katō under his pseudonym Monkey Punch the manga template that should inspire the following works, anime series and films. Katō has published his most influential work with Lupine III and was released in 2005 Professor of Manga and Animation at the Faculty of Media and Arts, Otemae University, Nishinomiya. Kazuhiko Katō passed away on April 11, 2019 at the age of 81.

In the year 2977 mankind conquered space. Since then, many acquaintances with extraterrestrial species could be made. But they are not always friendly and there is war in the galaxy. But this time, danger looms from within, as a group of people once exiled now claim planet Earth as their home.

The Space Pirate Captain Harlock gets caught between the fronts of the war because he doesn’t want to side with the factions. Trusting his morals, he gathers a ragtag crew aboard his ship, the Arcadia, who would accompany him anywhere.

The police have their hands full preparing to stop Kaitô Kid’s next robbery. Detective Conan is of course also involved in this case, but quickly realizes that something is wrong here. The real mastermind turns out to be none other than Lupine III. Apparently the master thief is after the Cherry Sapphire.

The police are once again in the dark while Conan puzzles over what happened to Lupine III. really plans. Along with Kogorô, Ran and Sonoko, Conan attends a concert by Italian pop singer and heartthrob Emilio. Lupin’s accomplice Daisuke Jigen works as his bodyguard, but where is the connection between Emilio, Lupine III. and the gem?

Lupine is leisurely driving down the street with his partner Jigen when they overhear a suspicious chase. A woman is being pursued by shady guys and when Lupine saves the lady named Clarisse from her clutches, the master thief falls in love at first sight.

But hardly rescued, Clarisse sets off again. Lupine follows her trail to a certain Count Cagliostro, who wants to force the pretty princess into marriage. So the Count wants to become the ruler of the entire city and get his hands on a legendary treasure. Of course, the gentleman crook cannot accept this in two respects.
