(dpa) Tens of thousands of people demonstrated in Paris on Sunday against President Emmanuel Macron’s policies. Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s Left Party had called for the “march against the expensive life and doing nothing in the climate crisis”. As the French news channel BFMTV reported with reference to the organizers, around 140,000 people are said to have taken to the streets. Police information was not available until late afternoon. Up to 30,000 participants were expected.
