Heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson is notorious for his hard punches. This is now also felt by a passenger on a US plane. “Iron Mike” felt provoked by the passenger, says a witness.
Former world boxing champion Mike Tyson punched another passenger on a plane in the United States. A cell phone video released by the celebrity portal “TMZ” shows how the 55-year-old former heavyweight champion gave several punches in the face to a young man sitting behind him on the plane.
According to “TMZ”, the passenger provoked Tyson and did not stop talking to him. “Iron Mike” was initially friendly, but then asked the man to calm down. When the passenger failed to do so, Tyson hit him several times, the website reports, citing a witness. A photo shows that the passenger sustained minor head injuries.
The incident reportedly happened while Tyson was about to fly to Florida from San Francisco. The boxer left the machine before the start. The police, the airline JetBlue and representatives of Tyson initially did not comment on the incident.
Notorious for his hard punches, Tyson is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history. However, he repeatedly made negative headlines and got into trouble with the law. In the early 1990s, he was sentenced to several years in prison after allegations of rape.
