PS Plus Premium: 5 cult PS1 and PS2 games to rediscover

Even though the service PS Plus Premium doesn’t have the widest range of PS1 and PS2 games, Sony’s catalog still has some great games if you want to rediscover classics.

Here is a non-exhaustive list.

Resident Evil Director’s Cut – PS1

Do we really need to present resident Evil ? Most gamers today have experienced their first horror thrills with Resident Evil’s pixelated zombies and surprise Dobermans. A classic to rediscover without limit, for those who have the patience, of course, with the Director’s Cut.

Worms Armageddon – PS1

What memories of Worms Armageddon ! Well, there have since been other installments in the franchise, and it’s safe to say that this one hasn’t aged particularly well. However, it remains the first “party game” for many of us.

Worms Armageddon is the third installment in the franchise developed by Team 17, and it is among the greatest video game classics of all time for many.

Millennium

Siren – PS2

Some time after the first chills with Resident Evil, Siren knew how to terrify more than one. Although it has been somewhat forgotten over the decades, and is mostly remembered for Siren: Blood CurseSiren remains a respectable survival horror.

Set in a spooky Japanese village where a ritual takes place, Siren puts players in the shoes of several characters who are simply trying to leave the area alive.

Millennium

Jak Trilogy – PS2

The PS2 period of Naughty Dog tends to be overshadowed by its games Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, but the Jak trilogy is no less fantastic. This series mixes multiple genres, incorporating elements of platformers, third-person shooters, and even pseudo-open worlds.

The PS Plus Premium service offers Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2, and Jak 3.

Millennium

Star Wars: Jedi Star Fighter

PS Plus Premium may not offer many PS2 classics, but Sony’s service is at least trying to satisfy Star Wars fans.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Racer Revenge and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter are all available, with the latter being the best of the lot.

This 2002 game gives fans the opportunity to enter the cockpit of various fighters and perform missions. Although it shows its age, Jedi Starfighter is still a pleasure to discover all these years later.

Millennium

The PS Plus Premium service offers a more than correct catalog of classics, and we could have mentioned many more titles. Don’t hesitate to share your memories of these games, or tell us which games you think have a place in this selection!
