Call of Duty is still available for PS4 and PS5, but Microsoft is planning to take over Activision Blizzard and Sony fears that the CoD games will only appear for Xbox in the future.
Now the competition authority in Brazil has dealt with the case and has come to a decision, because after their decision nothing stands in the way of the purchase by Microsoft.
As VGC reports, the regulatory authority justifies the decision with the fact that a possible Xbox exclusivity of the Call of Duty series would not exclude other competitors from the market.
The Brazilian authority cites Nintendo as an example, because this company is competitive even without games from Activision Blizzard.

In addition, Sony is a leading brand for more than 20 years, has extensive experience in the gaming industry, has a catalog of exclusive titles and partnerships with third parties. All of this will help keep the company competitive even if Sony loses access to Activision Blizzard games.
According to Microsoft itself, it is not currently planning to offer Call of Duty exclusively for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Even beyond the existing contracts, the series will continue to appear for PlayStation.
