PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy pushed back to May 5

After a more than successful launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, the title of Avalanche Software starts again with the bad news. Repeatedly postponed, before having a delayed release on the various consoles, Hogwarts Legacy takes another delay for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. From April, the game will finally not be available on these platforms until May 5th.

Despite his prowess and the exploitation of his universe, Hogwarts Legacy is quite far from being technically perfect. Whether on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series, it’s not uncommon for FPS to drop sharply, for areas to take time to load, or for textures to appear and disappear depending on the distance. Suffice to say that the previous generation consoles may have trouble making the title work properly if it is not worked enough.

The developers have therefore chosen to postpone the release of the PS4 and Xbox One versions ofHogwarts Legacy to May 5 in order to perfect the experience. We’re clearly not expecting anything perfect, but the technical limitations of the machines are forcing some rethinking of some aspects of worldbuilding. It is also not impossible that these PS4, Xbox One and even Switch versions are far from convincing when they are released.
