The last State of Play from Sony will have been the occasion to make several announcements, and in particular to unveil the arrival of a new game for the PSVR 2: Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition. This is a title released in late 2020 on Meta Quest 1 and 2 standalone VR headsets.

A game optimized for PSVR 2

This ps5 version from the title of ILMxLABthe VR branch of The Walt Disney Company who now owns the rights to the Star Wars license, will be stamped Enhanced Edition and will therefore bring improvements, in particular for harness the capabilities of Sony’s upcoming VR headset (eye tracking, 3D sound, haptic feedback…).

As a reminder, it is within ILMxLAB that engineers from Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic, Skywalker Sound and Walt Disney Imagineering have been brought together. We already owe this studio several productions, including the very good Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series in 2019.

The game pushes the boundaries of virtual reality to immerse you in the world of Star Wars like never before.

Watch out for Batuu’s return

With Star Wars: A Tales from Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition, ILMxLAB takes us on Batuuinasmuch as droid repairer simply armed with blasters, droids and other explosives, but without Jedi powers or lightsabers, in an adventure FPS inspired by the attraction Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland California,

You will come across during your adventure various iconic characters of the series and Seezelslak will then offer to tell you 3 legendary tales within his Cantina, in order to offer you 3 additional missions in the shoes this time of a Jedi or an assassin droid.

The upgraded PS5 version will also include the Last Cal DLCl released the following year on Quest and will be available in 2023 on PSVR 2.

Do you dream of playing as the Sith Lord while enjoying the open world of Elden Ring? Now you can with this amazing mod that turns your weapon into a blazing red lightsaber and your character into Darth Vader.
