The shortage of semi-components prevents sony to have a stock of PS5 sufficient to meet all requests, and a priori, this should not change for several months. Creating a PS5 Slim is possible
In his last video, he then explains that he built a model of PS5 measuring only 2 centimeters highwhich changes from the XXL format of the traditional PS5, which is many things, but which is far from being space-saving.
How did he achieve this feat? He explains that everything comes from the machine’s cooling system, which he completely removed to place a watercooling system, which therefore allows the console to be cooled with water. Obviously, the installation of this whole system takes up a lot of space, and you have to be able to hide all that somewhere, but the console itself immediately becomes much smaller, as he shows with his prototype.
After several tries, DIY Perks was able to turn on the console and run games without issue. A nice job that can hardly be put on sale one day by Sony, but we salute the performance.
