While Sony Interactive Entertainment just starting to offer enough stocks of PS5 to satisfy players, he would also prepare the future of his console next gen. Rumors have it that the manufacturer is designing a version of the machine with a removable disk drive, and nowInsider Gaming reports this week that he would also be developing wireless headphones and a new headset for the PlayStation 5.
It is already possible to use almost any wired headphones and headsets by plugging them into its DualSenseor even via Bluetooth using an adapter to be connected via USB directly to the main unit. EIS also offers a helmet 3D Pulse at €99.99 console-like design and optimized performance for 3D audio, mainly to simply perfect the gaming setup of gamers. And in addition to these current possibilities, sony would therefore have two projects.
The first would be Project Nomadwireless headphones with a battery life of about 5 hours, which could be recharged and updated via a box to be connected in USB-C to the PS5. However, the rumor does not say more about their performance (worthy of WF-1000XM4 ?) nor on how they should be connected to the console, even if it will still certainly go through a dongle USB. The other product would be Project Voyagera helmet with performance comparable to the Sony INZONE H7a product sold at €229.99 which would therefore offer a higher quality than that of the 3D Pulse.
These devices would be launched during the next fiscal year, between April 2023 and March 2024. A way to diversify the offer for audiophile players, and to offer packs to equip the community with products playstation up to the ears. But it’s still just a rumor, just waiting to be verified.
