While it took until the beginning of the year for PS5 stocks to finally keep up with demand, the console will soon be celebrating its 3rd birthday and many rumors want that Sony Interactive Entertainment prepares an updated and potentially less expensive version of the machine. Like the PlayStation, the PS2, the PS3 and the PS4, the PlayStation 5 could thus benefit from a variation skinny (although she has already lost weight since her launch).
Finally, skinny, it could be a simple way of speaking, because according to visuals and leaked videos, it is not particularly thinner than the base model. A Chinese forum member A9VG actually posted a photograph of this version CFI-2016 of the PS5, before being followed by a certain Bwe on Twitterwho has outright published a video: the rumors of the corridors would like that the consoles have started to be manufactured in factories in China, from where the leaks.
We thus see a console with fronts separated in two, perhaps to be able to easily detach the famous removable disk drive that has been talked about for months. The PS5 would also ship now two USB-C ports and would be 5 cm shorterwhile it does not necessarily seem less wide: it would therefore in any case be lighter and more transportable.
Keep in mind this could be a prototype or a pretty fakeso while waiting to know if Sony Interactive Entertainment confirms a new PS5 in the coming months, the current model is sold from 520 € on Amazon.co.uk.
