Just after the Nintendo Switch, today it’s the PS5’s turn to update. Numbered 24.03-09.20.00 and weighing a little over one GB, this new version above all enriches the console’s Game Help tool in order to better lend a hand to players in difficulty in certain games.

The PS5 wants to be more social and practical

Now you may see tips in some compatible PS5 games marked Community Game Help. These are tips generated by other players using gameplay videos. Useful for seeing how to solve a puzzle or beat a boss directly from your console, without looking for a solution or launching YouTube.

If you want to generate help for other players, you will first need to authorize the automatic capture of your gameplay videos and their addition after review (by an employee? an AI?). To do this, go to Settings > Captures and broadcasts > Captures > Automatic captures > Community game help then select Participate.

In this update, Sony also takes the opportunity to hide the permanent Connected Remote Play message, displayed during a remote play session. Classic performance and stability improvements to the system software are also included, as well as some improvements to certain messages and screens.
