Psst !: Quick tips for lazy cleaning, which we shouldn't reveal

Haven't you just been blessed with a passion for cleaning? Do you often despair when dealing with last-minute chaos? It's the same with us. That's why we swear by these quick tricks.

Tidying up the room – that was done in record time as a child. Simply pushed everything under the bed or squeezed into the closet – "Mamaaaa, I'm done!". Only problem? If you clean up an absolutely chaotic battlefield in five minutes, you can expect mom to become suspicious, open the closet door and be overwhelmed by a toy avalanche. Today we're grown up and we're doing the whole thing a little smarter. After all, you learn from mistakes – and now we don't let ourselves be caught.

SOS box

Suddenly guests unexpectedly snow in who have just registered ten minutes in advance? No reason to freak out. Get yourself a nice SOS box that contains all the stuff that actually has no place in the living room. PS: Just don't forget to clear the box out again at some point, otherwise it will be dangerous the next unannounced visit.

Our little heroes

For once, this does not mean the kids, but small cleaning helpers who are effective and save a lot of time. Microfiber cloths, for example. With a tiny wiper, surfaces are sparkling clean again. Or dust cloths that remove dust from shelves and the like in no time at all. No time (or inclination) to vacuum AND wipe? Damp floor towels catch dirt and hair in a flash and leave behind a great scent. Speaking of smell:

Everything fresh?

We make use of psychology. Because: If the room smells fresh, it feels much cleaner than it actually is. It's all a matter of the head. Room sprays, diffusers and scented candles are our saviors in need.

Tub trick

When dealing with chaos, a good battle plan is the be-all and end-all. And it looks like this: Armed with a tub, you shimmy from room to room. Everything that does not belong in this room goes into the tub. If you wander into the next room, the things that have their place there are taken from the tub. This saves a lot of unnecessary walking back and forth – and therefore a lot of time.

But let's be honest with ourselves for a moment, our booth doesn't always have to be clinically clean. We don't inspect every surface in our friend's kitchen or look for dust mice under strange beds. Therefore: even if everything doesn't fit one hundred percent – take it easy!
