In other words, if too few people use their headphones to watch their 3D Blu-rays, then you might as well not offer it. However, now that the PlayStation VR 2 is there, the question arises, but sony apparently doesn’t think Blu-Ray 3D can become a major growth engine for the PSVR 2and it’s a shame, because it was the perfect opportunity to reconcile the refractory to 3D through the VR.
Rest assured all the same, since to the question: “Does this mean the end of 3D films on the PlayStation VR 2? », Yasuo Takahashi replied that it would be possible to develop an application distributing 3D content.
As you will have understood, on the physical format, there is little chance of being able to enjoy our films in 3D, but in dematerialized form, it seems more likely. We could imagine an early compatibility from Youtube, netflix or Prime Video. As for third-party software like Skybox, CineVRor Bigscreenit will probably be necessary to wait a little while, especially since the latter has just launched its own helmet VR.
