Three weeks have passed since the release of the PSVR 2. This is enough to sony to give an overviewan overview (enjoy the pun) of the most downloaded games since Playstation Store.
This top 10 has been divided into two : on the left are the USA and Canada, on the right Europe. And watch out! Only titles exclusively VR are listedso exit the games offering as an option the VR such as Resident Evil Village, No Man’s Sky and Gran Turismo 7which, it is true, skews the situation a little.
Big surprise! At the top of the list, we do not find a game for hardcore gamer, but a kayak simulation. Several reasons may explain this choice:
- A reasonable entry price: €24;
- It’s a great technological showcase;
- We hardly find the phenomenon of motion sickness ;
- The game is ideal to play with family or friends;
- The taste for palindromes.
In second place is Pavlovthis may surprise at first sight, but the game has undergone a nice facelift on PSVR 2in particular at the level of haptic feedback. In other words, each weapon brings its own sensation and, believe our experience, you are going to like to take headshots !
In third position, we have another technological showcase, Horizon Call of the Mountain (read our test). The position that the title occupies is partly explained by the fact that it is, unlike the two others mentioned above,a solo game with less replayability and therefore necessarily less downloaded. Yes, solo players tend to install their games for a longer period of time and therefore download them less, unlike players of multiplayer titles who are more inclined to uninstall/reinstall their titles according to the needs of the moment.
In fourth position is another nugget from the PlayStation VR 2namely Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition (read our test)which benefits from a welcome graphic and haptic facelift. It seems, therefore, that the work and optimization of game ports on PSVR 2 pay!
As for the rest, it is most often titles VR (apart from Moss: Book II) which have long been on the charts of the PSVR 1 : Job Simulator, Pistol Whip, Swordsman VR. We await, like you, the sales and pre-order figures for the PlayStation VR 2 as well as the top 10 best-selling games on the store.
