Who needs unnecessary drama in their life? People who rob us of energy instead of giving it to us – no thanks. But sometimes such toxic personalities can disguise themselves very well. That’s why we’ve put together the most important characteristics that show you that a person is relaxed and uncomplicated.

4 characteristics of uncomplicated people

1. They don’t take everything personally

“Oh shit, I forgot to reply to the message again today,” you think in panic as you lie in bed that evening. Yes: maintaining relationships is important, and that includes staying in touch with the people in our lives. But each of us has phases in which this is lost because other things are more urgent. And relaxed people understand that. They don’t take it personally if you sometimes (!) take a little longer to answer. Anyone who is immediately offended by every little thing and sees it as a personal affront is making things unnecessarily difficult for those around them.

2. You are confident

It can be very stressful when someone is constantly insecure and doubts themselves. Constantly giving another person reassurance and assuring that the outfit looks great or the cooked food really tastes good takes a lot of energy.

Confidence is a quality that makes it much more pleasant for people to communicate and spend time with a person. Uncomplicated people know their worth, are in harmony with themselves and do not need constant external confirmation.

3. You communicate clearly

There is hardly anything more stressful in interpersonal relationships than not knowing where you stand. When people cannot clearly say what is important to them and what they want, it makes relationships of all kinds difficult – regardless of whether it is a partnership, a friendship or a professional relationship. Uncomplicated people simply say what they have to say. They don’t make a big deal out of it, don’t push around, but simply communicate in a way that lets those around them know what they need.

4. They don’t constantly put their needs before those of others

Of course, communicating your own needs can also be taken to the extreme. If someone has to impose their will on every decision, no matter how unimportant, it is ultimately not pleasant for anyone. Uncomplicated people know what they want, but at the same time remain flexible and can adapt to other people.

If the restaurant your friend suggested for the next meeting might not be your favorite, you don’t have to open the door. Next time we’ll go back to her favorite restaurant. Particularly in groups, you can recognize relaxed people who don’t frantically rate their needs higher than those of others in every situation.
