So, what does your evening routine currently look like? If you suspect there is potential for optimization and are looking for inspiration: no problem at all.

Successful – who wouldn’t want that? In detail, we certainly all combine different concepts with success. For some the focus may be on financial wealth, for others harmony in the family and for others enough time for their own thoughts and insights. But the bottom line is that success means the same thing for all of us: that things are generally going well in our lives and that we are satisfied.

Unfortunately, success doesn’t come for free – or fortunately, because that means we can do something about it ourselves. Above all, our habits and routines determine whether we are on the path to success in life or whether we stumble along the path of bankruptcies, bad luck and mishaps. As far as the evening planning is concerned, the following rituals seem to be in favor inner satisfaction is particularly promising.

7 things successful people do before bed

1. Personal care

A nice shower, a facial peeling or at least a thorough make-up removal – successful people take at least a few minutes every evening to take care of their body. They know that we can only rest when we feel physically comfortable and healthy. And only if we treat our bodies with care and care can we fully develop our mental strength.

2. Eat calmly and enough

Diet experts in particular like to advise people not to eat too much or too heavy a meal in the evening. But sleeping with a growling stomach is usually not that great. Successful people trust their body and their intuition and eat what they feel like in the evening and what suits them personally. Because for them, their personal experience is more important than trends or recommendations.

3. Educate yourself

Whether watching the news or taking a few minutes to educate yourself in a specific area (such as a foreign language), successful people usually take time at the end of the day to develop and stimulate themselves mentally. After all, it’s good for the head, for the feeling and for the competence. Even if it’s only five to ten minutes.

4. Prepare for the next day

In order to structure and calm themselves, many successful people roughly organize their day the evening before. What’s important? What dates are planned? Consciously preparing and gathering yourself prevents you from suddenly feeling unprepared and having to do something later in bed.

5. Celebrate the day’s successes

For many successful people, looking back is at least as important as looking ahead: What have I accomplished today? What went particularly well? What am I grateful for? The main focus is on the successes, because analyzing the failures in the evening would only upset them and awaken the urge for action in them. Dealing with failures is a task for the day – or the subconscious in the dream. But definitely not for the evening.

6. Relax

Good sleep is an essential prerequisite for a successful life. After all, when we don’t have enough sleep, we are not ourselves and everything is difficult for us. In order to sleep well, we have to wind down in time in the evening and take time to relax – because switching from 100 to 0 doesn’t work either physically or mentally. Successful people relax, for example, by reading something, watching a series, painting, doing handicrafts or meditating. The main thing is that it helps when shutting down.

7. Go offline

Right before going to bed, successful people are usually unavailable and don’t look at new messages. After all, nothing has to or can be done overnight anyway; anything that pops up in the evening has to wait until the next day. In this respect, checking their emails or messages on the way to bed would only unnecessarily upset them and possibly prevent them from falling asleep.
