Eh yes, it’s already been six years since PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launched in Early Accessit was March 23, 2017. Now known as PUBG: Battlegroundsthe title of Krafton was immensely successful, gave birth to a real franchise and passed free-to-play. And to celebrate this sixth anniversary, the developers have prepared some festivities.

- Dev Talk: A New 6eginning
On March 18 at 8:00 a.m., Krafton is hosting a live Dev Talk to highlight its roadmap for upcoming content for PUBG: Battlegrounds in 2023. PUBG Studio teams in charge of in-game content, external game-related content and anti-cheat solutions will have a lot to share including a new map, Arcade mode improvements, improved ranked mode roster, esports, and much more. - Collaborator: Tristan Eaton
The collaboration with the famous toy designer and mural artist Tristan Eaton is now live on PC and will be on consoles next week. Tristan Eaton’s remarkable art is present in several parts of the game, including the loading screen, overworld objects in Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and more. Tristan’s incredible creations pay tribute here to all the incredible Survivors who landed in Erangel six years ago, and to all those who have joined the adventure since.
Adding to all this excitement is the distribution of a host of Special Airdrops that not only include exclusive Year 6 skins, but also an abundance of Hideout and Workshop rewards. - Event: 6th anniversary! Message to PUBG
As previously announced, Krafton is hosting a special 6th anniversary message event through March 23, where players can ask their questions and wish the PUBG: Battlegrounds team a happy birthday. From those who send in messages, 100 winners will be randomly selected and will receive special 6th anniversary-themed real-life items, such as metal posters, postcards, and stickers. Finally, our new original background music, PUBG 6th Anniversary (6years & 6eyond), is now available in-game on PC and will be available next week on consoles. In addition to playing in-game, the new background music is available to stream on many platforms, including Spotify and YouTube.
