Last March, Krafton revealed the roadmap of PUBG: Battlegrounds for the year 2023, teasing the next new sound Battle Royale From now on free-to-play. Several of them are already available, but the developers are now focusing on a feature highly requested by gamers.
Krafton actually details the clan system, which will soon be added to PUBG: Battlegrounds. A feature that will allow players to found their own clans and collaborate with other members to obtain advantages and rewards. The developers detail:
Players with an account BATTLEGROUNDS MORE can create clans by clicking on the Clan button located in the lobby. Once the clan is created, various functions such as clan search, chat and notifications are available. Each clan is made up ofa clan master, a manager and general members, and can have up to 100 members. Players who have completed the tutorials can join a clan. They can either request to join a clan or be invited directly by a current clan member.
To make clans even more fun, there are a new progression system with clan levels and associated rewards. Clans can reach level 20 and Clan EXP can be earned in-game. As soon as a clan reaches level 2, their name appears on the player’s nickname/PUBG ID, accompanied by a corresponding clan plate. This Clan Tag Plate can be upgraded as the clan levels up. Players receive a double XP bonus when playing with their clan members, allowing the clan to level up faster. Additionally, players get a 30% bonus on Battle Points (BP) earned when playing with members of their clan.
Taeseok Jang, executive producer of the game, clarifies that the clan system has just been introduced in PUBG: Battlegrounds with the 23.2 update, available only on the test server. The studio will polish all this before launching this feature on live servers, without specifying when.
